Our privacy policy: what data we collect, how cookies and analytics are used, and the choices you have.
Your Privacy, in Plain Terms
This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. The short version: we run a review site, not a shop or a casino. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not take payments, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone. If you just read our pages, you stay effectively anonymous to us.
By using this site you agree to the handling of information described below. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
What we collect
We keep the data we handle deliberately small. It falls into two groups.
- Information you choose to give us. If you send us an email or use a contact form, we receive your message and whatever details you include, such as your name and email address. We use that only to reply to you.
- Information collected automatically. Like almost every website, our server and our analytics record basic technical data when a page loads: your approximate location (usually just the country), the type of device and browser you use, the page you viewed, the site or search that referred you, and the date and time. This is standard traffic information and is used to understand which articles are useful and to keep the site working.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: to remember basic preferences, and to measure traffic through a third-party web analytics service. That analytics service processes visit data on our behalf so we can see aggregate trends, such as how many people read a review. We configure it to avoid collecting more than we need. For the full detail on which cookies are set and how to switch them off, please read our separate cookie policy.
How we use the information
- To show you the site and keep it running reliably and securely.
- To understand, in aggregate, which content readers find helpful.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam and technical attacks.
We do not use your data to build advertising profiles about you, and we do not run behavioural ad tracking on this site.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. There is no arrangement under which a third party pays us for your data. When you follow an affiliate link to a casino, that operator's own privacy policy takes over from ours; we do not pass your personal details to them, and we do not receive theirs.
Who else sees the data
A small number of trusted service providers help us run the site, such as our web host and our analytics provider. They may process technical data strictly to deliver their service to us, under their own privacy obligations. We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, for example in response to a valid legal request.
How long we keep it
Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. Aggregate analytics data is retained for a limited period so we can compare trends over time, and then it ages out. We do not keep personal data longer than we have a reason to.
Your rights and how to make a request
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Because we collect so little and do not require accounts, in most cases there is very little to act on, but we will still honour valid requests. To make one, contact us using the details in the site footer and tell us what you would like. We may need to confirm your identity before acting.
Children
This site covers gambling-related content and is intended only for adults aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the wording on this page. Please check back occasionally so you know where you stand.
